I love making portraits. Whatever assignment I do, like a magnet I’m attracted to eyes, hands and the personality behind a face. A client once said: ‘Showing the soul, without disturbing it”. Building up trust and then document the exact moment when somebodies thoughts are almost visible. I have a passion for what I call ‘medical photography’; projects where people, disease, disability or taboo come together. Especially then, and despite trauma, stigma or pain I’m even more intrigued to portray the human behind all this.
