The Roof of Africa’ multi-media art project reveales untold stories about love, longing and pain through photography that reflect real life in Tanzania and paintings on corrugated iron sheets. It encompasses the good and the bad, hidden underneath the metal sheets of the African Roofs. This exhibition is developed by the Danish painter L.M. Johannessen and the Dutch photographer Sasja van Vechgel. To amplify the expressions of the exhibition three Tanzanian poets Langa, Maya and Asha make their interpretations, and the producer Jakob Poll has developed the sound picture. Exhibiting in Alliance Francaise Dec2009 – Jan2010, and in Umoja House March/April 2010.
